Who we are
We have to go back to my great-great-grandfather – because I’m the fourth generation – who opened his shop in town as a goldsmith and photographer.
Then my great-grandfather followed in his footsteps and then came World War I, but we were there…
… …when World War II broke out, my grandfather had already started working very young…
…and I remember him telling about when he went to take pictures on his bicycle, while the bombs were falling and even in the middle of a snowstorm, because his passion was unstoppable!
In 1950 the movie theater came, and photography improved by leaps and bounds.
In 1969 underwater photography became possible and my dad developed a real passion for it.
In the Seventies, we added eyewear with the arrival of my mother, Maria Antonietta Dall’Ora, who in the Eighties earned her master’s degree in optometry.
In 1988 the store moved across the street to our current location, and at the end of the Nineties, I arrived, Alberto Formenti.Diploma of Optician, Degree in Optometry, specialization in Applied Contactology, Orthokeratology and Hypovision. I’m the fourth generation, but my passion is just as great as my predecessors’.
I believe strongly in two principles: Professionalism and Passion. Professionalism comes with study and puts service first, supported by sincere and heartfelt courtesy toward my clientele. Passion is what keeps us searching constantly for brands and make the difference in Design and Quality.
